Staying Busy

Sorry I couldn’t write much the last week. Monday was a holiday and there was not a place open to access the internet. We tried to write Tuesday but the district meeting went a little long and we had to go to La Plata Centro to take a bus to Dolores. I only had 30 minutes to write President and update a few things. We spent 2 days working in Dolores a small city in the middle of nowhere 3 and a half hours south of La Plata. It was cool and I had the opportunity to work with 2 great missionaries, eat a local snack, use my fishing stories to get us out of a sticky situation,  see a cool sunset talking to people in the street, and feel the spirit testify of my words to many people. 

This is week 6 and the changes should have been this week but Elder Rasband is coming to the mission Saturday and we will do the changes after his remarks Saturday morning. We did not know this until we got a phone call Saturday morning telling us this and that someone in our zone is training, but the missionaries needed to leave the MTC and we needed to go to La Plata to receive this missionary who would stay with us until after elder Rasband. His Name is Elder Doña from Spain. It is a little bit harder to teach in a trio but we are working on that. He tried mate for the first time this week and is learning the ways of the mission. 

As a Mission we are all studying the principle of repentance. (weird trying to remember that word in English) As a church there is often a negative connotation to that word. Everyone thinks that it is something that you have to do but I am coming to learn that it is something that we get to do. Christ suffered for all of our sins, weakness’, difficulties, everything.
