Zone and District leader in one!
Ok, I don’t have a lot
of time, but this week was awesome! On Thursday we went to Quilmes for Jedi Council
and it was awesome! (like always).
I have felt Gods hands
helping me a couple of times, and helping me when I need help. I thought it
would be a lot harder, but for right now it is cool. Elder Glenn is the new assistant
and that is pretty cool. We have zone conference this next week and we will let
the zone know about some of the changes.
President Gifford is extremely
focused on helping us reach our potential as a mission and we will start implementing
a few things on the first that will help a lot with using our time wisely,
finding the people who are ready and working with the members.
On Friday I said
goodbye to Elder Lima because he finished his mission. I thought that I was
going to get an emergency transfer, but that will now happen. On Monday a
missionary went home and his companion Elder Neser and I are now companions. He
was a district leader and when a district leader goes home the zone leaders
take over the responsibilities of the district leader. That means that right
now, for the next 2 weeks until the transfers I am Zone leader 1,2 and District
leader.
In my area we have a
family that is progressing very well. They are reading the book of Mormon and
praying. They have gone to church once and had a family emergency yesterday but
they are still great.
I don’t have a lot of
time but I love you guys! I know that this is the true church, and that Joseph Smith
was a prophet of God. God loves us and so he sent his son to the earth to
overcome the bonds of death. He Lives! He has helped me throughout my mission.
He has guided me to the people that he has prepared to receive us. This is his
work. I am so blessed to be an instrument in his hands. Alma 29 will always be
one of my favorite chapters. "si fuera yo un angel...." Les Amo
muchisimo
Elder Cahoon
