Elder Rasband

Ok esta semana era re copado! Fuimos a capital para tener un reunión con Elder Rasband del cuórum de los doce apóstoles. Parte de su mensaje era que tuvimos la oportunidad de saludarle. Oh, sorry thinking in Spanish.......This week we went to the city of Buenos Aires to have a reunion with Elder Rasband. It was an amazing experience. We woke up at 4:00 to get ready and take a morning bus to the train station of La Plata. There we took a bus to capital (Buenos Aires) and then started to sing “Called to Serve” to welcome Elder Rasband. We had planned to get there an hour early but the crap hit the fan about 30 minutes into the journey when the bus broke down. We had transfers this week (one week late so that the transfers could be a little smoother) so we unloaded the bus and all the bags and waited one hour to get a new bus. On the way to capital we saw a ton of cool things like a ton of bridges, the stadium of Boca, and the 9 de Julio (the worlds widest road). His message was amazing. He talked about how the way God works, He shared a few experiences he had as a mission president sending people to different areas and calling missionaries to serve missions as a member of the quorum of the 12 apostles. We had the opportunity to shake his hand one by one and it was a very spiritual experience. He wanted to shake our hands and have us look him in the eyes. "The eyes are the gateway to the soul" and when he looked me in the eyes I had two things happen. First the spirit testified to me that he was called by God and that God leads and guides his church. Second, I felt the love that God has for us, the same love that moves him to call prophets to help us know his will. I’m about out of time but this is God’s work. He calls Prophets. He sends missionaries where they need to go. He sent his son Jesus Christ to help us overcome the two deaths of this earth. Jesus is the Christ. He gave his life for us.

LOVE ELDER FONZ
