Bosques: La Tierra Prometida (Bosques: The Promised Land)
Ok I know it is
getting old, but I love Bosques. This last week we had a lot of family home
evenings. Mondays was with the familia Cabañas. They are a part member family
where the dad and the kids are members but the mom is not. We taught about the
ten commandments and talked about why it is important to keep the ten
commandments. The dad needs to get divorced before they can get married and
that process takes a while and a lot of money. Our next was with the familia
Perez, a less active family who has a hard story. They came in contact with the
church a long time ago and were baptized quickly. After a few years all of the
kids became inactive and that made it hard for them to keep going but they have
kept their fire going and some of their kids are becoming active again. The
Elders in Bosques have worked with this family for a long time and now the granddaughter
Valentina wants to get baptized.

We had a great night
lesson with the Familia Perdomo, some new investigators who are very cool.
German and Maria Perdomo are family members of a sister in our ward who told us
that they wanted to hear the lessons but were too scared to go to church to
talk with the missionaries. We had a great lesson with them and they committed
to come to church. They did! Saturday and Sunday I came down with something and
basically slept all day those days but today I feel better and ready to take on
the week!
(This is a family that Fonzy was working with before he left his last area Maxi and Janina. They were baptized last week by his old companion Elder Smith.)
I don’t have too much
time left but I know that the church is true, that families are eternal. I know
that Russel M. Nelson is a prophet of god. Oh, how wonderful it is to have the
guidance of god on the earth.
Love Elder Cahoon!
