Week Nine (Happy Thanksgiving) + a little Vlog
I know you are excited for the videos but we had an interesting week. We started the week working extremely hard but had little luck. We found some ok potential investigators but when we went back to talk to them many of the addresses they had given us were fake. We had had that happen a little before but it was ridiculous, I started to get a little discouraged. We also had some of our lunches fall through. Luckily, because it is the end of the month and we had budgeted well, we were able to grab food but my spirits were down.
Thanksgiving helped a lot though because we ate with the Bjarnsens. There was a lot of great food and we ALL stuffed ourselves in the spirit of Thanksgiving. That night I reflected on the week and saw a lot of tender mercies that I had had throughout the week. The next day was weekly planning and we looked at how far we had come and prayed for help in accomplishing our goals. We then had our spirits lifted higher because we had realized that most of our investigators we had found within the last transfer or two. Friday, Saturday and Sunday we found a lot of new investigators. One tender mercy came just before we found some investigator and it got me extremely excited.
I learned that a species of fish that is on my I want to catch one in my life can be caught in the Quilmes river which is in our area..... y'all know what I did today. Pizza party on the river bank;) we didn't catch any but we basically had bamboo tenkara rods.
Love y'all but I'm out of time today. More to come and more stories.

(Extra asides that he sent just to me.)
"Breakfast is usually either Fruit and cereal or pancakes with Dulce.
We are given Viandas or packed lunches every day that are over flowing because the members want to feed us but don't have a man who can be there to eat with us.
We eat lunch late and usually just have a snack for dinner."
Also, he had this to say about the bomb threats he talked about in the video.
"DON'T WORRY Argentina has a law where if someone calls in a bomb threat to a school they have to evacuate the school and search it. Every day students call in bomb threats to get out of school. (they start thinking that they can get out of math tests and other things)
They started bringing soccer balls to school speakers and throwing thirty minute parties. One of my investigators told us this when we asked what was going on outside our pench. He said that his sons school takes all the kids phones at the beginning of the day and all the bomb threats stopped.
Insert eye roll at the kids. We live across the street from a school and so......."
