Week Three

Well, not a lot has happend since Saturday. On Sunday we went to the temple and took pictures with the other american district. We then went and had a party to celebrate their time at the CCM that night. Our district had a close relationship with the other district because they would help us. We plan to do that for the new district that came today. The last few days were normal, or as normal as we could get. The only excitement was that the temple re-opened and we were able to go and talk with some people on the temple grounds in Spanish. We havn´t had a single day where our schedule was correct. We went to the temple today for an endowment session and then met some of the new guys. That was my week so far but I still have a lot to talk about.

At the CCM there are a lot of different classes. An average day starts with waking up at 6:20 so we can beat the rush to the showers. We eat breakfast at 7:30 and have study time for an hour then grammar classes or teaching skills. We have I.P. just before lunch and then we eat the biggest meal of the day. We have an hour and a half of exercise time. Sometimes that is hard because it is so hot. It was 22 degrees Celsius (72 fahrenheit) and 77% humidity the other day. We then have another hour of studying and then we have another grammar class. We eat dinner and then again more studying.

Sundays we have Sacrament and Priesthood and then we study the rest of the day.

I have had a lot of questions so here are some of the answers ;)

We don't speak Spanish all day but we are encouraged to speak as much outside of class.

We have three teaching practices the Spanish ones are I.P. and CRE. I.P. is where we have to learn about the investigator and teach multiple lessons throughout a couple of weeks. CRE is assigned the day of and we have to find the investigators needs and teach a lesson on their needs.

Breakfast is cereal with a pastry and juice. Lunch is usually steak or chicken in one of many forms (with rice or with many other things) and dinner is the same.

I have had Empanadas and they were amazing!

I watched Conference live.... minus priesthood session but we watched that before morning session on Sunday.

My P-Day is Thursdays but last week it was switched so that we could do a special session at the temple.
