Week Four
WOW!!! It is crazy to think that I have almost been here for one month (1/24th done). There are so many awesome people at the CCM. With only one hour to write each week it is hard to get everything down, this week specifically. Elder Redmond and I were having a hard time teaching one of our fake investigators because they wouldn't keep their commitments. Last week when we went to the temple we decided to pray about it. Then in one of our classes we had a feeling to ask a question we knew the answer to, the baptismal invitation. When we asked she said no and then we said why. We were having a hard time finding out her need but when we asked she told us her need. That lesson was probably the best lesson we had ever taught.
I leave the CCM on November 7th and it can't come quickly enough. On Saturday we get to go proselyting again but this time with Elder Redmond as my companion. We will be going into a different area of the city but it will still be awesome.
The new guys aren't as cool as the old guys and I think that is because we knew the old guys longer and we looked up to them. They knew more than us and helped us. Now we have that responsibility and it is kind of weird but cool at the same time. I don't have too much more to say right now but I cant wait to get into the field. One of our district teachers is going to school to be a photographer and took us out to the Temple grounds for a lesson because we wanted the fresh air. She took some pictures of us working and I figured you would like them.
Our district has two teachers and we spend most of our time in our districts. Hermana Carduce and Carrillo. Carrillo is the photographer for the CCM and gave us the CCM pic. (minus the new English speaking guys).
