Being a District Leader
This week was awesome!
There were many interesting things that happened this week. First, I gave my
first district meeting and it was great and I was extremely worried about it,
but I felt great when I was done! Next, we found out that President Nunez was
going to do one last set of interviews with every missionary the day before and
had to worry about going there but it was cool. President gave me some advice
about what I can do to help the missionaries in my district. I am so stoked to
have this opportunity to serve. Elder Torres and I are getting along great and
teaching a lot of people. We are going to Quilmes for multizone conference next
week.
Monday and Tuesday I spent a lot of time preparing for my first District Meeting. We, almost like tradition, talked about goals and how we can use our time more effectively. Our district has a few challenges and so I set a super small daily goal and we were able to almost reach our weekly goal. Goals are a great way to measure progress and see what we can do to improve. We worked hard all week and were able to find some really cool people! One is Jonathan, he listened to the missionaries about 5 months ago but lost contact, we were able to visit him and he accepted to get baptized on the 30th!
Love Elder Cahoon
