What a WEEK!

If the weeks keep going this fast I don’t know what I will do. This week we saw a ton of miracles. One of my favorites was evidence that God works in mysterious ways. Most days at about 10:00 we call and confirm our lunch appointment. The member who we ate with on Saturday wrote down their number on the calendar. When we called the numbers on the calendar no one answered. We sent a text and had a very interesting experience. We said "Hi Brother Torres this is the missionaries we just called to confirm lunch with you today." they replied "Sorry Elders I think you have the wrong number. We did not sign up to feed the missionaries today." We then asked "You don’t live in the Quilmes 1st ward?" They said "Not even close. I live in (town I can’t remember and have never heard of.) about 550 kilometers away. If you want you can try to get here." knowing the last part was a joke we apologized. He then said "I should take this as a sign from God. two missionaries from Quilmes texted a wrong number and happened to text a member, but not just any member a member who has been inactive for two months.”  I want to let everyone know that I know that God works in mysterious ways.

We then had another miracle. Two weeks ago, Elder Glenn was on an intercambo in our area and they stopped by one of our progressing investigators houses. They were on their way to the airport and said they were going out of town. They said that they wouldn’t be back until the 15th. I was not there but Elder Glenn told me that. I knew that he was out of town but I had a slight feeling to stop by his house on the 12th on the way to another appointment. We did and to our surprise his brother let us in and he was home! He came to church Yesterday and will hopefully be getting baptized on the 27th.

We had some fun other ways this week. A young dove spent 4 hours on our balcony recovering its energy. We made root beer floats and had a great week.

I was reading in Alma this week and found a chapter I have read many times before and now understand what he was saying. I have started calling it the missionaries prayer.  It is chapter 29 and I love it.

I don’t have much time but I want to end by saying I know this church is true. I know the Book of Mormon is the words of God. I know that it has the answer to EVERY SINGLE one of life’s questions. As it is said The Book is Blue and the words are TRUE.

Love Elder Cahoon
