Week Eight
Hows it going at home!?!?! Things here are AWESOME! I have had a lot of weird experiences but first to explain why I am E-mailing now. There are a lot of holidays in Argentina that fall on Mondays. We can only use the internet at places called "cybers" basically a company that has computers that you can pay to use. Our cyber in our área was closed for one of these holidays. President Nuñez has a rule that we must write home every week and so if I ever don't write on a Monday I will write on a Tuesday or a Wednesday.
Weird / awesome experiences:
1.) On Sunday i was asked to give the prayer in a members house in English and I accidentally slipped into Spanish...probably because that was my first prayer in English since my first week in the CCM.
2.) We had a goal of 14 new investigators this week but we got 24!!!
3.) We will be having Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday with the Bjarnsens. The Bjarnsens are the senior missionaries who work in the offices and since the offices are literally in my area we have had so many awesome opportunities, like buen comer last week, or eating with the missionaries who work in the offices.
I should probably tell you more about Josè and Jon. Elder Dan and Elder Glenn were working in the rain one day and neither one was prepared for the rain. they were soaked and were walking down a road and having everyone say things like you are crazy go home. The last house on that street they found Josè and Jon a father and son. Jon is just barely 12. Talk about last door.
And now for weekly weird stuff. They use old fashioned looking keys as well as keys from the future.
