Week One
My first week was awesome! The MTC or CCM is incredibly small and incredibly close to the temple. Only 45 seconds away walking.
I know that ya'all want to know what is different about Argentina or what is cool.
My companion is Elder Redmond who was originally from New Zealand but has lived for the last six years in England. He is an awesome companion and we are great friends. In the CCM there are many amazing missionaries and instructors. We have 8 Elders in our room including me and Elder Redmond: Elder Johnson (from Sandy) and Evans (from Texas) are the other 6 weekers in the CCM in our room but are three weeks ahead of us. The others: Elders Reyna (from Spain); Zubeldia (from Kaysville); Moya (from Chile) and Gallart (from California) are on the three week program and came in the same day as us and will be leaving with the other Elders. (A side note from his mama: Nathaniel tested out of the first 3 weeks in the MTC because of the Spanish he already knew. When they were doing the test over the phone before he left he was asked to bare his testimony in Spanish. When he hung up he said, "They never teach you words for Heavenly Father and spiritual stuff in High School Spanish class. I guess I could have used "padre en el cielo" (father in the sky) but that isn't quite right". It's been fun seeing him remember some of the Spanish he had forgotten before he left.)
The first day was stressful and I had doubts because it hit me that we were in Argentina and there was so much to do, but by the end of the day the initial panic had subsided and I haven't had any worries or doubts. Classes are awesome. We have two teachers, one for the morning and one for the evening. There are three types of practice: teaching one in English two in Spanish; one of the 2 Spanish in progression and we have to teach a different lesson each day based on the investigators needs.

The food is amazing, a lot of rice and meat. We have 10 people in our district (I will talk about them Saturday next week). The email will be on Saturday next week because our schedule is being switched again. There are about 80 elders and we all share one bathroom with 6 toilets and 10 showers. It gets crowded in the mornings and evenings (I know because my room is right next to the bathroom which is a blessing and a curse).
We did a temple session on Friday just before it closed. The normal schedule had been funky with the temple being closed and General Conference. The spanish is coming pretty fast because we have a lot of practice with people in our room and real life experience. We will be tracting on Saturday and I am so excited.

1. The toilets do flush backwards.
2. The plungers (or atleast the ones in the CCM) are 5 feet tall.
3. The toilet holes are way bigger.
4. We are in the same gated area as the temple.
5 It is hot and the main form of AC is windows. This is funny because yesterday there was a strong wind and the tiles on the ceiling shook and vibrated.
We only have one hour each week for emails and so I don't really have time to say much more. I love you all so much and will see you soon.
y pro el peder del Espíritu Santo podríes conocer la verdad de todos las cosas
